Biography: Astrid Van Lierop (born 1942) is a versatile artist from O.L.V.-Waver (Mechelen) who works in various disciplines. She attended all possible art courses at the Royal Academy of Art in Mechelen (from 1962 to 1991). Her teachers included G. Reusens: "Drawing: Live Model and Portrait"; G. Dierckx: "Painting: Still Life and Portrait"; J. Tuerlinckx: "Painting: Live Model and Compositions" and "Free Studio (15 years)"; H. Govaerts: "Portrait and Landscape"; and B. Decq: "Sculpture".
Astrid Van Lierop has exhibited dozens of times and has also won several prizes.
