Space Age Sputnik lamp, G. Sciolari for Boulanger

Description

A rare "Space Age" Sputnik lamp from the early 1970s. This original and very large XL lamp has a diameter of 75 cm and 30 light bulbs. Designed by Gaetano Sciolari and produced by SA Boulanger in Brussels (Anderlecht). From the late 1960s this manufacturer produced lighting for the more luxurious segment and became known for its collaboration with the Italian designer Angelo Gaetano Sciolari.
There are minimal signs of wear, but no corrosion or chipping of the original chrome. Only some small scratches on some of the bulbs and lamp holders. Once mounted, they are barely visible. Fully professionally cleaned, ready for installation. A unique and rare opportunity.
Diameter including bulbs = +/- 75 cm. Length of suspension rod to bulb = 72 cm (including suspension hook with M10 thread). Total height with bulbs is 117 cm, making it ideal for higher ceilings. Shortening or extending the suspension rod (installed before delivery) is possible upon request. 
Technical information: Includes 35 new Bailey 80100038363 2Watt LED FIL G45 headlight bulbs (= 18 "old" W), non-dimmable: 170 lumens - E14 fitting - 2700K - 220-240V (5 additional bulbs are included).
