engraving city of Bruges

Description

A large colored copper engraving of the city of Bruges, bird's eye view map. With beautiful cartouches and 2 extensive legends of streets, markets, churches and buildings. From the book "Flandria Illustrata of Verheert Vlaanderen" by Antonius Sanderus (1586 -1664), engraved by R.Blokhuyse. Unclear from which edition: 1641-44 in Cologne or Amsterdam (Blaeu) or more likely an edition by Chr. Van Lom in The Hague (1726, 1732 or third edition in 1735).
Frame size 62 * 51 cm, engraving: 49.5 * 38 cm (paper edges cut off). 
Framed behind glass in a beautiful wooden frame. Ready to hang.  From antiquarian bookstore R. Van Bladel, Antwerp.
