A polychrome plate and sugar bowl with drawings by JOB depicting scenes from the trenches during the First World War WWI. Porcelain from Limoges. Rare and sought after by amateurs of militaria. Front: an image of "Le guetteur" + text. Back: "Limoges France, La grande guerre, dessins de Job". The sugar bowl features 2 scenes of soldiers in brown and blue French uniforms in the trenches drinking a cup of hot tea or coffee. The illustrations are by JOB, his real name = Jacques Onfroy de Bréville. In very good condition.
