Chinese jewelry box

Description

A Chinese or Asian jewelry box made of wood (possibly rosewood), richly finished with brass fittings and carved jade ornaments. In very good condition. Mid-20th century. Behind the small doors are three drawers, lined on the inside with red-and-gold fabric featuring a floral motif. The top drawer is designed for items such as rings. At the bottom, there is a fourth drawer containing a removable insert tray.
The box can be locked using a padlock and its corresponding key.
